Cool Tools

The Ottawa Marathon has partnered with realbuzz.com to bring you the Ottawa Marathon Online Community. Our online community is filled with many useful and exciting tools that will make your training that much easier! Some of the tools include:

Blogs: Blogs are online logs or diaries that you can set up FREE of charge. Keeping a blog during your training has many benefits, including enabling you to set out key goals and monitor your progress, recording your training stats and keeping yourself motivated. Other users will also be able to read your entries and comment on your experiences, ask you questions and make suggestions. Plus you can do the same for them!

Forum: Use the realbuzz.com runner forums to interact with the large Ottawa Marathon running community that shares your passion and mission. Build a community of support with these new features.

Route Planner: Tired of trying to estimate the length of your training runs? Then use our FREE route finder! You can map out your favorite runs - complete with distances - using specially detailed maps and satellite images. You can save multiple routes and share them with your friends. Whether you want to plan road, trail or multi-terrain routes, you'll be able to map them out for your benefit and share them with a growing community of fellow runners!

Training Logs: The training stats and goals workout log is a cool tool to get you ready for race day. This tool will allow you to set personal goals and record your training information. It is basically an online logbook allowing you to log daily data for your running, swimming, cycling, walking or gym workout – or all of those if you are that active! You can display graphs of your training data to help you monitor progress. Plus, if you wish, you can publish these stats in your blogs so you can share your stats and goals with others.
